Great food and great service – See why we’re Invermere’s favourite restaurant!

The NEW Safta’s opened in Downtown Invermere in the Winter of 2013/14. Join us for a wonderful, relaxed dining experience and authentic middle eastern flavours – cooked fresh, just like Grandma would.

Safta, in Hebrew, means “Grandma” – and Safta’s features many menu items directly from Roi’s (our head Chef’s) Grandma back in Israel. Safta’s started as a small falafel cart, and as people quickly fell in love with our great food, we continued to grow.

Our now famous falafel, and other dishes such as lamb, hummus, shwarma and baklava, are all becoming valley favourites. We invite you to come and join us for a real, homecooked meal and have a taste of Israel  – right here in Invermere. Bring your family, bring your kids, and bring your friends – we’re more than just Middle Eastern, anyone can find a dish they will love on our menu. We’re proud to offer gluten free menu options, a kids menu, and weekly live entertainment.

Safta’s kitchen has some of the best Israeli cuisine at a great price. It’s a good healthy break from the heavy European cuisine that commonly found in the area. The fact that it’s also a quick meal is great if you’re just passing through. The owner (Roy) is a super friendly guy and really makes you feel welcome, answering any questions you may have. Definitely worth a stop!

If you like real falafel and middle eastern food don’t miss this place. Worth the wait. I have had falafel in Israel before and this is the real deal.

Amazing middle eastern food and cheap for the area. Had the falafel salad because I am gluten free. Delicious. It’s a must hit place.

We were delighted to find Safta’s kitchen and ate there twice in our three days in Radium – first for lunch – some of the best falafels I’ve ever eaten – with great condiments, everything fresh, decent prices, fast service. We went back the next day for an easy dinner – great service, great value – both the chicken sarma and beef were excellent – they also have a kids menu/hot dogs, etc. We have often sampled middle eastern cuisine in large cities when we travel – this was much better by far. We’ll be back.
